“What does that actually cost?” is usually the first question – and rightly so, because frame prices for signed jerseys online range from €30 to several hundred euros. Here is the transparent breakdown of what actually goes into a professional framing service.
The base price: €180 or €225
At FRMD PASN the entry price is €180 for the standard size 40 × 50 cm and €225 for 50 × 70 cm. Both prices include complete handwork and real glass, plus shipping.
What's included in the base price?
The price is not a pure material price but covers the entire process: the color concept matched to the team, the individually developed tensioning system that holds your jersey wrinkle-free and permanently in shape, the mounting of passepartout and glass, and the final quality check. In total, each frame contains 4–5 hours of pure handwork – which is why the price is above that of an off-the-shelf frame, but also well below what classic framing studios charge for comparable object framing.
The surcharges at a glance
Three options can be added to the base price: a custom name plate for €25, acrylic glass instead of real glass for €10, and museum glass with UV protection for €55 (40 × 50 cm) or €75 (50 × 70 cm).

What can additionally affect the price
Anyone who doesn't own a jersey yet and instead wants a matching one from our stock (over 250 signed jerseys are available) pays an individual surcharge depending on player and signature – depending on how sought-after the name is and how the signature is certified (Beckett, JSA, PSA). Custom special sizes outside the standard dimensions are also quoted separately. We discuss both transparently in the design consultation before anything becomes binding.
Why is this not just “a simple frame”?
A jersey is not a flat picture – it has volume, seams, sleeves, and has to be tensioned so that it still looks as wrinkle-free years later as on day one. That requires a specially constructed object frame with sufficient depth and a tensioning system that balances pull and material. Exactly this effort – not the material alone – explains the difference from the €30 frame at the electronics store.
